This beautiful quote is at the core of my coaching business.
Until you know who you are and what is most important to you in life, you are more easily influenced by others. And when that happens, your words and actions are based on someone else’s beliefs.
By understanding who you are and what motivates you, you open the possibility for everything you say and do to be an authentic reflection of you.
So how do you reach a state of living a life in which your choices are 100% authentically YOU?
It all starts with identifying your values and deciding how you will live those values.
This is not a difficult process but it does take some time.
In my coaching business, I help people do this in 2 ways:
1. Look at the life you’ve lived and examine 2-3 moments when you’ve been happiest. These “peak experiences” are strong indicators as to what is most important to you in life.
2. Think about 2-3 people you admire. You look up to or appreciate certain people for specific reasons. Examining what it is about those people that you find amazing or impactful tells you something about yourself and what you value in life.

If you are ready to learn more about yourself so you can design the life you want, and you could use a little help with this process, I offer one to one coaching and online group workshops. To find out more about these options, visit my Adult Coaching page.
